Say you're busy with something else and you have no time to hang out anymore.

Decline to hang out with them if they ask. Don't go to events with them. Unfollow them on social media. Don't respond to texts/calls or take a long time to get back. Eventually they will either let you go or confront you. If they confront you, then be honest and say you don't want to be friends with them for whatever your reasons are.
