I was in a relationship before. I realised I was much happier single and by myself so I decided I'd stop pursuing love and relationships.

You need to be really honest with yourself: have you decided to give up on love and relationships as some kind of protest against it not working out, or are you genuinely curious and enthusiastic about the idea of living independently?

If it's the former, you'll never be happy. Youre angry and hurt and you don't really want to be alone.

I sometimes feel sad and lonely (just like some people in relationships feel sad, misunderstood and tied down), but I never dwell on it and I remind myself that I made a choice and I'm going to enjoy it. I don't idealise relationships or love in my head. I throw myself into all the things I love doing.
