Well it's not really something you just text. That and he's been doing almost everything to avoid me and gives me "OK"-short replies. I'm not a mind reader either but it tells me I should back off and not message him etc.

I don't have any friends besides him. I've known him for almost 6 years, but trust me, I get what you're saying. I haven't told him how bad it is because I didn't want to weigh him down. I'm kinda trying to be strong and not bounce everything off of him. But I would have thought he'd at least give me an ear, sadly it just seems like he's had it with me. He's barely spoken 2 words and when I ask about his day he just replies with "good" which leads me to think he doesn't want to talk.

He told me to come to him whenever I needed to talk, yet he doesn't seem interested and kinda just shuts down when I do. So naturally I stopped talking about things. i honestly doesn't think there's a solution to make him want to talk to you, it's better to give up (atleast for now) and focus your mind on something else imho

try finding a solution that doesn't involve him doing something for you, but even if you don't find, the worst that can happen is you feeling sad for a while, but it will go away eventually

Someone in your condition has no fucking time to be modest about something like this. God forbid it happens, but if you cancer gets malignant, you will have wasted what time you have left try to set the mode like a damn movie scene. Get the information across in any way possible.
This condition has basically given you the opportunity to be as selfish as possible, so fucking take it and don't let it go. If you're worried about being clingy, don't. No one deserves to go through shit like this alone. Just keep in mind that this is hard on the people who care about you as well.
