I really don't get why people smoke, I tried smoking a few times and i smoked en entire cigarette like 5 minutes ago and i didn't get any enjoyment from it, but i see a lot of people who do it. Even my best female friend and good male friend smoke and i really don't see any reasson to start smoking other than peer pressure, wanting to look cool or to stick it to their parets so i wanted to ask someone to explain to me why would someone start smoking and do they get any enjoyment from it.

Look up the effects of nicotine on the brain. Its a temporary stress reliever. For some people it feels good. Also for some people its very addictive. As for starting smoking your absolutely right. Trying something new peer pressure and fitting in/ looking cool. See vapes
>>
I smoke only as an extra boost to a buzz, whether its cannabis or alcohol. That's when I find its effects are more noticeable and even enjoyable, otherwise for most of my friends its just a way of life so either you enjoy or don't.
>>
I smoke for nine years now, but never more than Three cigarettes a day.
Sometimes i skip smoking for a week und when I go out to a Pub, or to take some Drinks with friends I smoke more than 15 cigs that evening.
Alcohol without cigs is a no go.
Well to answer your question: every brain reacts different to "drugs". My best female friend can't get along with less than 10 cigs a day O.o
But a pro Tip from me: Don't Start at all.
And why do I smoke? Your brain sends out endorphines, it's a Stress reliever, sometimes out of boredom (Stuck in traffic with car), and sometimes just because I want to.

everyone's brain reacts differently. to some people it does nothing stimulating, and to some it feels good.

it's genetic.

People start smoking because they think it makes them look grown-up or cool.

They keep smoking because they're addicted.

Nicotine, like heroin and other addictive drugs, changes the body chemistry so the body adjusts and considers itself-plus-nicotine to be "normal" and itself-without-nicotine to be sick.

After that, nicotine doesn't give pleasure, it gives relief from pain. The space between cigarettes is a kind of "cold turkey" generating nervousness and anxiety, and the cigarette makes the body feel more "normal".

As with any addiction, quitting involves a kind of de-tox, so the body stops depending on nicotine and re-adjusts to non-nicotine normal.

I started smoking to try and fit in with some other kids at school I guess. Tobacco is a funny thing - it's not like chocolate where everyone likes it right from the first time they have it. You really have to work at being a smoker.

I'm not sure that I've ever actually "enjoyed" it, even back when I first started (which was about 25 years ago). Not in to weed, but from what I understand you smoke a joint, feel good, then it slowly wears off until you feel normal again and then you have another one to get back to feeling good. For me it's the exact opposite of that with cigarettes and allways has been. I have a smoke and that makes me feel normal, then after a few minuites I start to feel worse and worse - irritable, tired, anxious - and the longer it goes the worse it gets until I have another one.

I get through about 40 a day at the moment, but that's only because I work in the office now. Not allowed to smoke in here, and there's only so maky times you can walk outside for five minuites then come back in before people start to notice. It was slightly better when I was at a desk in the communal area (mine was right by the door), but I have my own office now right at the back of the building so I have to walk past literally everyone to go outside. Plus I I'm having twenty fag breaks a day everyone else is going to expect to have the same, then I'll have to explain to my boss why we're loosing so many many hours each week.

If you're not hooked, just don't get in to it. It's much, much less socially aceptable these days than it used to be, and that's only goingot get worse with time (and rightly so - it should be illegal imo). It's bloody expensive too. My two packs of benson & hedges a day costs me more per month than the mortgage on my first house did, and on top of that you've got things like paying a small fortune to the dentist every six months to keep your teeth white, dry cleaning, having the car valeted, that kind of stuff.

I think what happens is lots of people pick it up for the reasons you stated but then they get addicted and one day wake up feeling like they need them and it can feel like it's too late and they can't get it out of their system even though they know better

It's like when you meet a hot af qt and it turns out she's insane but you don't realise just how bad for you she is until after you invest in her emotionally and you don't even care that she's bad for you cause the head is porn star quality

Dude try vaping.

at first cigarettes taste and feel bad because your having too much, plus the taste is new, like with drinking alcohol for the first time..
it's kind of like alcohol, feels good and once you drink a lot then tastes good. to someone who deosn't drink it makes them feel sick and shit the next day, plus the drinks taste like shit too.

nicotine is relaxing.. but aswell as first time being pretty crap, after smoking for a while it hardly affects you anymore (unless the cigarettes have just gotten weaker, i'm unsure because it never used to happen to me then suddenly they changed cigarettes and they tasted worse and didn't get hit hardly as much).
nicotine can feel stimulating as well, which is imo what 'social smokers' are like. it's like having a coffee hit when you have a cigarette

as well you need to limit yourself. getting into a pack a day habit is bad. self-control will stop you from getting to that, it's mainly compulsion and wanting a cigarette at any time you usually would like after a meal, while outside walking somewhere, with a coffee, after something stressful etc. which add up over the day. having around 6 or so is better, and less at night

either way they're pretty shit. i quit smoking and i don't have crap taste and spend money on them, but being around people and drinking/talking, others having a cigarette it feels worse and like somethings missing... besides that theres nothing good about them. that feeling when others have a smoke is hardly something i'd start smoking for again...

i mainly don't smoke because i swear they've changed something with the cigarettes. they're not the same anymore. and it wasn't anything to do with 'tolerance' because i stopped smoking and started again, was still a lot different then they used to be.

I'm not a usual kind of smoker. I smoke about 1-3 cigarettes a day since it helps prepare myself for intellectual work or sometimes relieve stress. I also like the feeling when you go onto a balcony and oversee your city while thinking about sense of life, it helps to distract yourself from sitting in front of the screen and psychologically "recharge",so i find smoking helpful for myself. I'm not addicted to it physically, but psychologically. It's very important to be careful with that way of smoking because there is a subtle line between addiction and self-controleld smoking, so i wouldn't advice it to most of people.

It taste good, and and makes you more social. That's why I smoked at least.

That's the usual smoker mindset.
It's a sporitual thing for most smokers.

I smoked for a while. I find the warm sensation, flavor and smell (the burning, not the lingering odor afterward) very pleasant. I think it's like coffee. Some people sincerely enjoy it. Some people find it horrid.

Now the cancer, that I found horrible.
