When I hit puberty at 12 my voice deepened and I lost my ability

When I hit puberty at 12 my voice deepened and I lost my ability to speak in a high tone, and it hasn't changed since. I haven't thought about it much, but I'd like to be able to sing high notes and stuff.
Is this something that can be recovered with practice, or is it gone forever?

I did a quick Google search and it seems that men can indeed train their voices to sing higher.

There was a guy in high school choir that changed his range from baritone to tenor. He also came out of the closet and became a raging faggot, but that's beside the point. It can be done OP.
