Since college started a year and a half ago, I haven't really made any friends. There are people I talk to somewhat regularly, but only on a really shallow level. I usually don't go out on weekends.

I'm somewhat smart, attractive, athletic, decently dressed, cultured, and I have a lot of hobbies, but I can't seem to connect with anyone. I can only assume that this is because my interests are so unusual and that my life-philosophy is pretty bizarre. Additionally, all my hobbies are solo for the most part.

It's getting to the point where I'm forgetting what it's like to have friends. Even if I did have really intimate friends, I don't even know what I would talk to them about.

Has anyone been in this situation before, I would love some advice.

You just described myself to a T during my first 3 years of college.

I became withdrawn and spent a lot of time alone.

Don't do that. College is a place where you are supposed to have fun. Force yourself to cut loose; do shit you don't want to do, and do it frequently. Cut down on all habits that are solo. Try to find as much time as you can outside.

Finally and most importantly, join the campus gym and get swole. Find bros to get swole with.

The last semester of my senior year I finally truly went wilin. Ended up going to like 5 parties, got laid a decent bit, had an amazing time, made some friends. Don't wait as long as I did.
