So you're looking specifically for the concept of gravitional attraction between two objects, without any kind of bias toward the outcome of measuring it?
I can't think of one that quite satisfies all of these things, but what about a barbell (or other heavy object) hanging from a spring? The image still invokes heaviness to some degree, but adding the spring -basically a crude scale- may help bring the viewer's attention back to the idea that the measurement, not the literal weight of the object, is what matters.
