My younger brother is going through some crazy tooth pain right now. He's got a dentist appointment in a few days, but I'm not sure his sanity will last that long. Any home remedies for tooth pain?

Ibuprofen, advil pm to sleep. Not really a 'home remedy' but most people have these in their homes.

distract his mind with something. back when i had major pain i played minecraft for hours doing mundane boring shit countless times just keeping the brain busy with something that wasnt my teeth. going to sleep was harder tho
