I am going through the same thing but have come to the conclusion that these are the only things that will help.
Deleting all pictures of her/him, deleting all of your messages with her/him, remove her/him off of social media you share, get out more, and THE MOST IMPORTANT, time.
Getting out more will help to take your mind off her/him. DO NOT DRINK, TRUST ME IT WILL NOT HELP. The only way to truly get over that person, is to give it time and try to distance yourself from them, no matter how much you love them...
honestly, there's nothing you can really do. you just need to give it time. Sure it's painful and it can take months or even a couple years depending on the person, but you just need to try and live your life and let your feelings fade away on their own. Eventually you'll get to a point where that person crosses your mind and you won't give a single fuck about them, no positive or negative feelings, but you just have to let it happen on it's own
