My gay friend spent tonight completely unsolicitedly telling me that he thinks I'm really attractive, doesn't understand why I dont have a gf, and that he wishes his boyfriend was good looking like me (I am not making this shit up). I couldn't care less about guys finding me attractive; I'm not homophobic and I take it as a compliment. But why do I find it so hard to attract women in comparison?

Funny, I (f) attract women. I've wondered about this for a while. I think more women have tried to take me home from bars/parties than men. And my boyfriend attracts gay guys like crazy. I've had multiple men come up to me and compliment me on my boyfriend, or tell me they're jealous. Even had one apologize to me for hitting on him.
Maybe homosexuals are just bolder because they have to be direct. Since they're such a minority, I doubt the whole waiting around to be noticed thing works too well for them.
