Ask her if you can take her out for dinner. Take the lead and then set a specific time and say you'll pick her up. Just hanging out or meeting up is more of a friend thing. If you take the lead and set up an actual date it sets the tone and makes your intentions more clear. Don't pussy out or beat around the bush. Girls like confidence and guys who go after what they want. She might be nervous about it or unsure but you have to stay confident and go for it. OP here. Thanks for the advice. Sadly, I won't see her again for two months, so I'm more worried about staying in touch with her but out of the friend zone until then. I was planning on asking her out on a date within the first week of us arriving on campus.
Heres how do it in college. I promise this is the perfect method because you can do things in small steps without spaghetti blasting or creeping girls out
Flirt a little every time. Very subtle when you first meet them. Have tons of girls walking around that you've flirted with casually and made a quick but confident exit on. You see them again, you don't seem needy or creepy cuz you let them go after a little flirting without asking to date or for their number. When the time is right you will know. You'll see girl #3187 at a party, she's drunk, with only girlfriends, and you're drunk, single, and your 2-3 quick, fun, flirty interactions have gone great.
