I just bought a new PC on the 7th of May. This computer just crashed on me today.

Just like my old computer, the hard drive is making loud noises and when I run task manager it says the disc is running at 80-100%.

I have no idea why my computers are doing this, is someone hacking my internet and fucking with my shit?

What should I do? The computer is not even a month old,I havent gone on a single fucking porn website yet, only been on 4chan.

Its still under warranty, should I bring it in to get looked at?

Have you cleaned inside since you've gotten it?

>should I bring it in to get looked at?
If you've got a warranty, fuck yeah let them deal with it

I don't even know where to begin with this.

The short of it is that you don't haven the knowledge to solve this problem on your own., thus the solution is obvious.

Disk usage, particularly in Windows, is nothing to be concerned with. Crashing on the other hand is either a serious software issue, or a potential hardware issue.

On a better day I'd be willing to spend a few hours trying to derive the details from you, but I feel that's a futile task at this point in time.

You've got warranty, you might as well take it in. That's sort of the point of warranty.

What are the specs, the OS, the programs you habitually run? And did you use the same install disks for your old PC?

Because to me this sounds like user error, so if we can eliminate that possibility then we can say go get it checked since it is under warranty.

Thanks. I'm responding to this now via iPhone because my pc just crashed again after 10 mins.

Yeah, they definitely should've test the unit thoroughly.

If you did want to try something, there's a little command you can run to get windows to verify the integrity of it's core components, and restore the back ups if they've become corrupt.

If you hit Windows Key+R type CMD and OK. Once command prompt is open, you can type /sfc scannow. It'll begin a scan and verify the components.

In addition to this, you can also run a boot-time disk error scan. To do this, go to My Computer, right click your boot drive (The drive windows is installed to [C:]) and click properties. Go to the tools tab at the top of the window, and click Error checking. Check all the boxes and start. Might say something like, "Can't do this on active boot partition" but it should say something about running it at boot. If it does, just click OK and reboot your PC. Should automatically go into it on restart, and it can be cancelled by pressing any key.

Things to try, I guess. OS should be clean if you haven't had the PC for long, but who knows.

Just a heads up though, error-checking takes a while. That's sort of an overnight deal.

What do you mean by crashed? Blue screened? Error code? Motherboard error code?
>>
I agree with the warranty, you just bought it, if you choose to fuck with it before taking it in, I dunno where you bought it, but fucking around with certain things they might say you voided the warranty, just be careful of bullshit like that.

Yes. Before the warranty expires.

When people are this tech illiterate, its usually the user who causes the problem. Ask a tech savvy friend to look into it for you.
