I've actually thought a lot about that. I think it's possible that this fetish is actually pretty common. It just takes a special kind of shut in to not only recognize but embrace and cultivate it. I'm saying, if that moment had not occurred, I might have gone my whole life not knowing I had the fetish, or possibly not even knowing that it was a fetish in the first place. I'd had funny feelings about scenarios involving people being eaten since childhood, but it's not something I gave much consideration to, much less consciously acknowledged as a sexual thing. It's so far removed from any conventional sex act, connecting those dots without an outside influence like Jimmy the Giant Frog seems very unlikely.
Consider how many people out there never go on 4chan, or any other space where they might be exposed to the concept of vore, like we were with Jimmy. The number of people with vore fetishes might be higher than most of us realize, it's just that most of them don't know it yet. But, some of them might have careers as comic artists or screenwriters, and they write vore-ish scenarios because they like it for reasons they aren't consciously aware of, and they accidentally provide us with fetish fuel.

I wrote dialogue, did some preliminary layout, started roughing stuff in, and realized I really didn't like it at all. I'm still attracted to what I would consider the core important bit of the story, it's just that what I wrote didn't really capture that essence the way I wanted it to. I think I get what he was going for. The boots were discarded from the dude the giant ate. They smell nasty because they recently had feet in them. The giant says she ate the guy accidentally while sleepwalking, but it's probably too late in the day for her to have been asleep recently. So, the farmer can still smell the boots, deduces that the giant just ate this dude, and calls her out on her lie that she ate him a while ago on accident. The meaning isn't obvious and could be spelled out a little better, but I think Bigbig wrote what he meant to write there.
