I got inspired by >>665232 amazing gif to try to experiment in using less frames than I normally do to make the animation look snappier and with more weight to it. I tried to use 1/3 of the frames I normally do and try several types of quick movement, I had no idea what I was doing so I can safely say that the experiment failed! The irony is that by the time I reached the actual swing I realized the entire thing was a mistake and just rushed it, oh well.
And even if I can fix the issue of my animations lacking energy and motion, I am sure I will never fix characters on them warping and deforming horribly as it goes on. such is my inconsistent artwork.

In my latest expansion into mediocrity I made a low poly of Axe!! I also tried using it to rig an ingame model! Looks bad but I don't have as much experience in 3d as I do 2d. I always have issues unwrapping hair I feel like there has to be a better way to do it than the way I am. Oh well next time
Also for a test I decided to put it into CS:S! I still need to fix the weight painting on some parts because it looks a little goofy when you jump around. This whole experience reminded me of how much of a pain in the ass getting shit into Source is. I was originally gonna put it into GoldSRC but all the documentation and links to the bipedal rigs for that are long dead. Trying to attach the model to a decompiled rig didn't work too great either.

Yes and no, copying is a great way to learn, especially when starting out. But in order for your art to make sense you'll still have to (eventually) learn anatomy and similar important things in some way. That's not being classically good, it's just making your art appealing.
I'd say just start drawing things to get some basic skills going and having fun. If it's something you enjoy and keep doing a lot you'll probably start trying to improve anatomy and all that stuff eventually (consciously or not). So yeah, keep drawing and don't be afraid of your stuff looking bad at first.
Why do we even have Cassette Bat as an admin, anyway? He doesn't draw his own characters more than once, and I bet you that he would be on "literally who" territory if it weren't for Discord. It feels like giving a gun to a total stranger.

Well RPG Girl is pretty much an Erdrick recolor, tho it was completely accidental that her final design resembles that so much, if it had gloves a tiara, spiky hair and a cape (tho her scarf passes out as a cape I guess) she would be pretty much Erdrick.

The most interesting thing about that character is a liquid sword and a lack of arms.
They have no personality because you've yet to really elaborate on a single character, clearly you prefer a particular body type so just work around that for now, maybe choose a theme. I believe one I've seen pop up a couple times is the black one with a large toothy mouth, start with that one

Native to New Fasille, the Homo Virentia commonly referred to as "Elves" are a highly intelligent humanoid species. Among the Species common features include; Large mammal like ears, green or brown skin, "antlers" which protrude from the cranium and leaf like "hair."
February 9, 18th interval
Classification of the species includes two subspecies; The Homo Virentia Embryophyta (Brown Elves) and the Homo Virentia Hydrophyte (Green Elves).
February 13, 18th interval
Dependant on a constant source of water "Green Elves" which make 80% of the known elf population reside in the wetlands and swamps of southern New Fasille. Both known sub species of elf have been observed to be strictly carnivorous, utilizing various tactics such as natural camouflage or the secretion of sweet scents to attract their prey. The species has been observed to; reach running speeds of approximately 50 mph, stay fully submerged in water for approximately 2 hours.
March 18, 18th interval
Elves live in "communities" of 20-40 elves which occupy a certain amount of acres of land. Their community is divided into "families" consisting of 2-7 elves who spend a majority of their day together. Communities are lead by an "alpha." Elves have been observed to communicate using various hand gestures and animal like cries to communicate to each other.

Elves are primarily a docile species, and have been observed to only hunting small organisms. The "alpha" elf in the tribe may prove dangerous to humans as they have been observed to; Very high levels of aggression, Hunt large prey "for sport", and remarkable strength. Common traits of the "alpha" in an elve community include; large stature, large overgrown "hair," large "antlers," and red attire.
