Well, it's something like...I made him to help me understand psychology and philosophy course material. Eventually I gave him a more detailed body. Then for some reason he split off into a male and a female version. The male version received a lot of character development, and the female version received a lot of shitty porn.
So when /acoc/ happened I wasn't really into the male version and the female version was completely flat. Thus, they were merged together.

I think your characters are just fine in both design and characterization.
The only thing I think would be nice to expand is use more their "normal" forms, Some time ago you posted Axe reacting to things in his normal form and in his "trap" form, his personality seems to change a bit with the transformation, expanding on how it affects him and the others would be nice, that and give some spotlight to their untransformed selves.

I think this may be the last pic of Amelia I've got backed up! My last little bit of info about her, for now probably, is that I picked up all of these reference images years ago when artists were asking for free requests.I can't draw at all, so I had to get others to draw her for me.
So, to summarize a majority of all the times I posted references of her:

i dont know if this counts but in the show "Steven Universe" there are many "Peridots" hinted at, and like the "Pearls" i like to think there is a Peridot that is different then the rest...
She is a lone Peridot working on a ship station on a colony world, and she is rather lonely. The rest of the crew abandon her to do her work, but she spends her days and nights learning her new world. enjoying her new life.

Pretty much had to write an essay on deeper meanings in random old short stories written in old shit English that I had to translate in my head into modern English as I was going...that and I don't think about deep meanings of anything I read and have no idea of the author's intent...also having to just read a ton of stuff every day in general and fuck that shit.
I failed algebra 2 two times in high school, I'm not good with any kind of math that isn't straight forward...I ended up taking some weird liberal arts math in college thinking it would be easier, but no...the first thing they had us do was standard math using non 0-10 number shit...so you count like 1, 2, 3, 10...but 10 is 4 in this case and just keep going up like that and I just gave up...teacher gave me a D just so I wouldn't come back because there's no way I didn't have an F.

It was quite a lot of threads ago, I dont remember exactly how the pic you did went because I forgot to save it, but it was kinda like an anon asking Axe to do something gay with him or something.
Normal Axe tells him to fuck off and Trap Axe tells him to fuck off... whike having sex with the anon. (I think...)
Again it was a long time ago so I may be remembering it wrong!
I have some time but not enough to actually sit down and draw, so I feel like talking about my shitty OC's anathomy of all things.
I have mentioned in the past that Ammy has really high resistance/immunity to several things, being it poison, getting drunk, hypnosis or mind control or any outside influence, but I never explained exactly why.
And even if no one cares I feel like talking about that because I'm bored and its been a while since I last talking about my own stupid OC!
I will start explained the "plot" reason to why that happens.
As I said before," Ammy" had a twin sister, and while they were in the womb "Ammy" absorbed her sister's magical power or "Alma" like it was called in universe, not only this made her have twice as she was meant to be born with, this was an even more special case because the twins inherithed their father's "Alma", which was unusually high to begin with, nearly twice as strong as a normal adept magic user. So "Ammy" was born with TWICE that already insane amount.
Which in turn made her body. that was so charged with magicl energy, naturally bounce off any kind of outside influences, this being both bad and good, she was inmmune to status ailments and debuffs but also any kind of buffs dont work on her, they just bounce off having no effect whatsoever (some magical potions cure potioins also have no effect on her). Her body/mind simply cant be altered in any way outside her natural growth.
Now the GAMEPLAY reason. Early testing made me realize that "Ammy", under the right buff spells was actually very broken, her drawbacks were not enough to compensate the insane stats she gets from her actually good magic and speed stats. So i made her immune to buffs, and then also threw in debuff/toxic/mind immunity too cause would not make sense to only make the good not work, So that became one of her only good traits, even if her total status immunity. didnt make up she not being able to be buffed, so she remained terrible.

Oh, I dont actually use references for the animations, I do for normal drawings, and sometimes they look way too similar to the original.
The only exception for using references for the animations was the Eggroll one (pic related) where I used the comic itself as reference for the first frame (and I didnt do a great job at emulating it!), after finishing the first frame on an animation I just continue making more not really knowing how to properly make the movement look okay, which is why my animations have this weird lack of "weight" to them and to make it worse I often offset the lines by a pixel or so so they can look like they are shrinking.
I really have NO IDEA what I'm doing when it comes to animating stuff! and I kinda like it that way, if i started looking at tutorials and stuff it would kinda not be as fun to do them anymore.

That one is 39 frames, you can tell by the end I start rushing it and it becomes very choppy because I am sadly stuck only being able to upload frame by frame so once the frame counter nears 30 i panic and just rush it in less frames than I would like.
Pic related is not the longest animation I have made but certainly the longest one i have uploaded with 54 frames. and I likely will never try to upload anything with that many frames ever again, i almost go insane doing it frame by frame.
You can also tell by the end I just didnt give a shit anymore and the last 10 frames or so look so freaking comically awful.

She would be good against someone that abuses status conditions, like someone that can make everyone around him/her fall asleep Ammy could literally just walk forward and smack them upside the head unaffected.
She is immune to unusual conditions, be it magical or otherwise, but her defense to actual magical damage is a bit higher than average but she still can get wrecked by a strong magical enemy since her HP is so low.
Her sister on the other hand is 100% immune to any kind of magic, she can get drunk or poisoned by non-magical means, but any spell be it status or attack will have no effect on her body since she has no "Alma". Magic kinda works by reacting on the "Alma" of what it hits, and EVERYTHING has "Alma", even rocks. thats why fire magic can burn things like armors.
I had this cool idea for Ammy's sister that she could remove her uniform's glove and use her bare hand to block any magical attack, that would explained why her clothes didnt get burned by lets say a fire magic spell, but such a detail was just impossible to actually apply to something as simple as an RPG maker game.

And despite the nice status immunity, it comes with also immunity to buffs, and I always balanced my shitty games with buffs in mind so Ammy not being able to be buffed made her even more useless than her stats already did despite how useful her status immunity may sound in paper.

She's immune as a result of genetic tinkering. She can manipulate her body and any organic thing she touches at an atomic level and keeps herself immune to drugs and poisons for safety. It's also partially why the plant is so potent since she can fiddle with the chemical compounds in it.
Marine also hasn't tried the weird spirit journey smoke yet, so it's still unprecedented.

Oh god, this is a hella old OC from 10 years I think? Her name was Leo and she was who I wrote awful smut and [insert anime show here] fanfics with. Introducing "Queen Evangelyne" otherwise known by her nickname "Angel's Wrath" or "The War Princess/Queen/Mistress".
Born an only child, she set off to prove herself. first known as "The War Princess" for taking over the city of Paris. she has spent most of her life building an empire. even now hitting over 100 years later she still looks as young as when she became the queen of her empire at the age of 24.

character design is very important to me (even though all my chars look kind of the same...im learning)
So what do you guys consider important in a character design? What is it that make it good or bad?

Ive mentioned before i like to design characters naked first. clothing and accessories are a good easy way to make a character interesting and visually appealing, but doing it without those is sort of like "weight training" and they can have a stronger visual appeal after clothes are added.

I am terrible at designing characters because I suck at little details.
But aside that for the most part I just always try to avoid "Same Face" as much as I can, I always try to give the characters some distinctive facial features, a long time ago I had two characters that were twins, the obvious difference was their hair color and very slightly different hair style but they actually had different eye shape so they could be recognized even when not colored. I never liked when you have a bunch of characters whose only difference is their hair and clothes.
Other than that I make up for my lack of interesting design by giving each character a very distinctive color scheme too, I just try as hard as I can to give them SOMETHING to go with their plain and boring visual designs.

I wouldn't really say overdesigned.. it's more that each design feature doesn't really matchs with the other. There's no theme to her
I mean, the division in the knees, the metalic skin color/shading and the leotard (?) under the coat gives her a futuristic feel, as if she was a robot or something, but at the same time there's the old-fashioned coat and shoes, the eye-in-hair gives a mythological feeling, and the hood just looks out of place.
It's okay to choose two themes to a character, but too many turn it into a mess. I can't deduce anything at all from her looks alone

Hey guys, been a while. I'm back to say that I decided to put Maggie in the backstory of a game idea I have. The game idea being based on this game https://youtu.be/AhiMgckqDAY but as an rpg.
The backstory goes like this. >Humans were just like monsters; cards that could only exist on the nature panals, and could only use the nature panals to move. All humans that weren't strong were nomadic in order to survive in the world.
>Maggie was a mutated half-breed that was half human, and half monster. The monster dna didn't react good to the human dna, so it became warped and she gained wild monster abilities from it. She was pretty much an outcast because of this, but she also became a strong warrior using her abilities.
>One day she sets off to confront the deity of the lands, Mother Nature, to make a plea for her to somehow give humans a way to break free from the panals.
>Mother Nature agrees after Maggie completes a few challenging quests, and gives up some of her lifeforce in exchange.
>Humans see Maggie as a hero kinda, and after a happy life, she dies of old age.
Most of what Mother Nature did is how the game mechanics come into play, but yeah this is the basic info without going over wordlimit for a post haha. I got more worldbuilding thought out if you want to know more.
