Ground shakes again as the water eruption begins. Carrot says it's the water eruption coming from the elephant, which is constantly watering it's back, they could not survive as the island doesn't generate natural weather. The elephant also filters out hte salt making it fresh water. Suddenly another explosion in the distance, sounds like cannon fire. Wanda says she has to go back, ans gives Carrot the job of taking Luffy the rest of the way.
Deep in the Whale Forest, Pedro and his group sprint through the trees at high speed. Small bit of dialouge that references an unknown area of Zou , a special secret hiding spot that the main population of the Mink Tribe are hiding away from Jack and his forces. We only get the name. They hear the explosion as well, and Pedro sends a small group of men with guns aimed at them from the shadows. Emerges Capone Bege new bounty revealed. He demands Caesar from Law. A stand off.

Some members of Pedro's squad starts to faint. They don't know whats going on. Switch to Law, Zoro and Capone's group. Eyes turn into the sky as the water rains down. Usopp faints, Zoro senses that it's Luffy. Law and Capone feel it as well, the looks on their faces makes them a little scared. Luffy stands in an Opening as the water is about to fall. The bodies of Sanji, Nami, Chopper and Brook lie on the ground battered and apparently dead. End of chapter.

Unless he was doing things on his own, but still as a WB pirate. We see Ace show WB Luffy's first bounty, presumably in New World. BB was probably at Drum already, Luffy wasn't in Grand Line. Did Ace make it from New World to the beginning of Grand Line in few weeks, all by himself? We also see him bugger off after BB as soon as he finds out that Thatch's dead. Did all of that happen between Luffy's trip from Arlong Park to Whiskey peak?
Also when did BB collect his initial crew? Did they meet long ago, and they had agreement to form a crew after they have Yami Yami, or did he do it Luffy-style, and recruited funny people he stumbled upon?

I see this a lot. Everyone seems to underestimate the effect of being totally immune to Enel's attacks. Luffy couldn't just hit Enel, he couldn't be hurt by Enel's main attacks at all, just like Buggy vs Zoro or Buggy vs Mihawk.
Enel's attacks were so strong they took down Roronoa "Nothing Happened" Zoro in one hit, and Enel can fire them from several miles away. The only people we've seen with more shear attacking power are the Admirals and Whitebeard. Haki will strengthen your defence but it can't stop everything.

This is the exact point I was making. Has it occurred to you that congruences can be found between ALL the arcs to some extent? The only reason people sprung to compare Zou to Skypeia instead of comparing it to Fishman Island (which is the arc it actually has more in common with so far) is because they wanted something to fit the narrative of homage arcs following Dressrosa and its similarities to Alabasta. And now it's all just taken off.

The point is the same. The action of challenging strong people doesn't really say anything about your level of strength, in this case whether Jack is stronger than Doffy. Luffy also took on ALL the marines in his way, including various vice-admirals who were stronger than him at the time, with the purpose of saving someone strong than himself.
I'm also ignoring the fact that people keep assuming Jack went to fight instead of the very real, and more likely possibility that he'd have some other way of retrieving Doffy.

Luffy has been trapped by 4 shichibukai's underlings, but it's the only common pattern between those arcs. Doflamingo's undelrings couldn't trap Luffy, even if they baited him. Blackbeard underlings also tried to trap Luffy but failed.
