The huge difference in Amanchu is that they zoom in way too much on the faces. It's really enjoyable in the manga since the whole page isn't a always giant chibi face, but when Pikari takes up 80% of the screen it's way more jarring.
Its not very fun. It does not excel at healing. Its not yuri either (the girls get male love interests later.
Its mildly interested for those interested in diving theme, but otherwise its highly overrated because its by Aria author.
