But then, the fact that it warrants questions or discussion at all means that their entire 30 second introduction is an utter failure and a waste of screentime since it's not actually clarifying the situation at all.
Again, look at it from a different perspective. Why would it not be clarified? What benefit does the show gain? Either get rid of the 30 second introduction, or have it actually be clear and concise and accomplish what it's clearly designed to do.
I've already proposed one possible solutions, where it says "assembled from the different worlds." Another solution would to be adding pictures of the girls specifically from the worlds when it's mentioning the actual worlds. It's visually and textually clear and concise and fulfill the goal of setting up the plot for any new viewers before an episode begins.

Why is there not a need to explain though? It's equivalent to having a male and female living together in a show and seeing them at home but never clarifying if they're married or just together. You can imply until you're blue in the face but why even leave it vague?
It would take literally no time in the 30 second introduction to clarify that, and by not clarifying it the intention of the introduction to clarify the plot for new viewers every episode is pointless and moot.
Leaving it vague is lazy storytelling since it's relying on viewers to just assume things. This is not intelligent writing it's just lazy on their part. I ask you, what does the show gain from not directly stating it. I challenge you to show how this improves the show.

It was clear. They even had a scene indicating which world the team members belonged to, and spent a chunk of the middle of the episode on them each chatting to a senior from their world, to give more of an idea what those different worlds are like.
