Yeah, you had to be on the dime for 1st thread when raws are released and a translator kun helps out. Otherwise the thread right after it gets invaded by Negima-stronk fags and tear everything apart about it.
The funny thing is, this was the exact same attitude 10 chapters in of the serialisation but Touta grew into a better character the longer the series ran, but people just getting into it never underwent the adjustment period to treat it as it's own story.
UQ was designed to be treated to a different audience from the ground up.

I started reading Negima just when the Mahora Festival was just starting. I loved it and certainly i was fucking pissed at the ending. I also showed more interest in reading UQ when it was announced that it was taking place in Negima's world. The connection to Negima is in UQ setting and we dont know if it would succeed or fail if it wasnt. It could have been a brand new manga from Akamatsu. Nevertheless it's set in the Negima world and personally i thing it's premise was interesting and had hope. As i've said before the callbacks arent good at all. They dont let UQ be it's own thing and are nowhere good for a sequel to Negima as people wanted.Even if i dont like Negima's plot and characters being "shoehorned" into UQ, i cant say i didnt like seeing Nodoka again.Best girl
