In a way, Aoi's dilemma parallels Hikari hiding the fact that she's royalty from Sacchan.
Hikari chose to reveal the truth, and in doing so became closer with Sacchan.
Manga!Aoi was prepared to keep the lie going, and in doing so it showed her insecurities despite her perfect-nee-san facade.
It also makes this conversation between Hikari and Aoi rather appropriate.
Also, Hikari and Aoi are paired up in the ED, everyone but Akane is paired up with the other sibling that they are somewhat linked to, Shiori/Teru, Misaki/Haruka, Kanade/Shuu.
