What did Takamura mean by this? Also, Mori keeps teasing about his possible eye injury. Yagi is a sack of shit for not being able to offer Takamura a fight in the higher divisions.

He's putting all the pressure on his own shoulders. It will cause him to lose before he finishes climbing the ladder.

When will this end?

Expecting anything from Ippo until he crosses the line is worthless.
That's how I interpret it.
Ippo will twiat and turn so hard that the inertia will rip his arms off
Takamura can see the future

Takamura is getting too full of himself and belittles everyone else while asking for more fights. He's prob going to loose the next one.

>He's prob going to loose the next one.
Haven't heard that before.

Implying takamura will lose before he can be used as a stepping stone for ippo
Takamura does give Yagi an angry look when he implies that the loss against Gonzalez wasn't about Ippo's attitude. Ippo should win his comeback fight with the new dempsey roll, but any further than that and he has to cross the line.
If Takamura's eye really is hurt, he should know that he is living on a borrowed time. If he goes into a world title match half blind and loses, it might give Ippo some actual motivation.
>Shinji Takehara was a professional boxer in the Middleweight (160lb) division. He was the first and only boxer from Japan to capture a World Middleweight Title.
>24 wins, 1 loss which led to retirement
>>>Ringside doctors examination discovered Takehara had posterior vitreous detachment which progressed into retinal detachment and subsequently forced him into retirement.
>Takamura is at 24 wins

shit
Takamura might fight against a southpaw at some point, and the eye problem could come up again. Hawk's unorthodox style was what started the whole problem anyway. Others would think Takamura is struggling because he couldn't find a sparring partner and has never fought a leftie before.
