The saddest part is that it could have been something decent. Apparently the studio and director told the author 'Fuck you, we're changing your story to what we want' and they made it generic ecchi shit.
In the novel the whole train terrorist thing is a central plot point and everything, but in the anime it's just brushed aside and casually there.
