I liked the Fullbring arc but we can call agree Kubo fucked up when he made it training training training for like 20 chapters. If the arc had more of Chad and Orihime fighting, Rukia doing undercover work, and Ichigo actually going on an adventure instead of being stuck in a lounge half the time, then maybe it wouldn't have ended with the Gotei favorites stealing the show.

He'll probably go Sci-Fi oriented. He's gotten pretty good with his art, and also good with the fantasy/supernatural setting within a historical context. Sci-fi is something he has yet to properly explore, so my bet is on that.
Alternatively, he'll give up manga altogether and go be a concept artist for fashion clothing lines, where he can get paid tons of money for coming up with new, potentially selling, ideas. Either route will guarantee lucrative payouts, on top of all the Bleach anime/merchandise royalties that will continue to flow for several years to come.

My theory is that Gerard as the Heart of the Soul King, with no Quincy powers, was just an artifact.
It became a person through quincy magic. Then when he got Auswahlen'd he turned back into the heart, which is probably the original Hougkyou.
