it isn't about the second chances, the MC is a perfectly capable human, he just needed a job. The show is more about him feeling shit again, like he was a boring adult and he buried a lot of painful memories and feelings but by being in contact with teenage drama he starts to become a better person. It's not about: "Oh if I had just done this differently!" Because after the experiment he goes back to being an adult.

Socializing with children instead of behaving like adults, and those children forget everything about then after the year is over. They can't even use it to get away with crimes since they are being monitored. It'd be simpler to just spend a year as a neet.

That was the most satisfying least satisfying thing I ever watched. I liked how there was no misunderstanding hell and the characters were very straightforward with each other. Too many questions about what exactly was going on with the twist and what happens afterwards though.
Best anime to win a complete AOTS in one day. They should release 13 episodes every week. Hishiro is CUTE
