The cast was noticeably out-of-character, the tone was jarringly different from the rest of the show for no reason, and it completely ignored the recurring points of the original series. In my eyes that makes anime-original filler objectively garbage.

I would've picked those shows for the top in spring as well. Jojo, Haifuri, ReZero and surprisingly Bungou Stray Dogs were all excellent this past season. Kabaneri was a good ride too and completes the top tier from spring easily. Everything else at <5k is a disappoint and lost money for it's studio - which is a fact.
I mean, you can type about and vote for your favorite shitty anime as much as you want, but I doubt if anyone would actually pay for Flying Witch/Kumamiko/other slice of life reruns.

Kuromukuro is good. Top 3 anime of the season. Plot doesn't have to be original it just needs to be well executed. The characters are also endearing as well as their interactions together.

I'd say the opinions of people who are willing to participate in a 3 hour stream poll are probably more representative of fans of the medium than sales or viewer numbers which tend to favor shows that have more mainstream appeal.
