Jesus fucking christ. I tried. I really did. I read some negative posts about it yet I still tried to have hope. I wanted watch at least the first episode before making my own opinion. The first scene pops up and I already wanted it to be over. I am so disappointed with how they treated Berserk. I wish I could forget it ever happened.

The 3d isn't done by him, it's done by Egawa Hisashi and Satou Atsushi in the studio Gemba, which has nothing to do with Teekyu.
The only staff that worked on Teekyu is Itagaki Shin, who is the director of Berserk and the 2d studio, millepense. The 2d was fine in the opening even they were some few QUALITY.
The real problem is the 3D and the one who does the Series Composition
Fukami Makoto and his assistant Yamashita Takashi. Why can't you learn?

Aside from the CG,Nip voices, and the small plot changes I enjoyed it. The metal soundtrack that kicks in for every fight scene is pretty wacky though.

Yeah, appart from looking like shit,
Lazy filters for the shadows.
Bland backgrounds,
Constant clipping,
Liquids look horrible,
Even with CG they can't get cloth physics right.
>Animation:
stiff as fuck
lazy pose to pose even in action sequences
They managed to fuck up FUCKING CG background characters
You can even tell when the animation ends before changing shots, leaving a couple of frames of just guts being frozen up awkwardly
>Camera work:
Everything is a mess, even SFM porn artists manage to make good shots
Serious scenes get fucked over by the camera moving all over the place
They didn't even smoothed out the tweens making the camera stop abruptly
>Pacing
Doesn't matter if you haven't read the manga you still won't have any idea what the fuck is going on.
They go from lame bar scene to cooking in the forest and i didn't even notice it at first.
Added a tree fight to cover up Lost Children? I don't even know anymore

Couldn't bother to make actual tracks so they just recycled the movie soundtrack, but if it wasn't enough they edited it to sound like shit for some fucking reason.

Not everything about it was bad, but it still was fucking terrible.
Least bad things
- Intro is ok
- CG is not that terrible
- Death of monk and his daughter were nice
Really bad things
- Pacing
- Useless scenes (cooking)
- Sounds
- Slightly changed story makes Guts's personality look different (lol stop beating that kid just because I feel like that)
But mostly, MOSTLY
- Scene direction is COMPLETE SHIT
No really. What the fuck. The worst part was the fucking tree coming out of nowhere, probably to just let Guts show off the cannon. Then they fucking proceed to not even make the cannon firing look good AND WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT SCENE IN WHICH HE SLASHES THE TREE AND WIND COMES OUT. You don't even see the slash. It's a fucking still with some effects. Lazy as fuck.

I actually liked the nightmare sequence. It wasn't manga tier, but it's the one scene where I thought the atmosphere and music really sought to convey the horror of Guts's situation, running around like an insect under a malevolent all-seeing eye.
