Finished reading the Shiratori chapter. It was glorious. The best chapter so far.Shiratori Utano and her miko Mito are working together on the farm. Utano talks cheerfully about her dream to become the king of farmers. Admiring Utano's hard work and energy, in comparison to her weaker, tired body, Mito thinks back to how they first met. The gods protected their area with the barrier, but everyone around else were abandoned, left defenseless to be slaughtered. Utano, awakened to new newfound power, ventured outwards repeatedly, saving countless innocent people and guiding them to safety.
But although they still lived, the people were full of despair. Having seen the world around them burn, they lost hope in living, in the future. But one young middle school girl cried words of hope, that if we work together, if we stand up against the Vertex and continue to LIVE, there is hope.
No one listened to Utano at first. So she continued to plow the fields alone, to give words of encouragement to all around, and to fight off the frequent Vertex attacks singlehandedly. All with a never-ceasing smile on her face. And slowly, people began to regain their cheer and join her in the fields, and Suwa became a place of joy once again.
Mito and Utano enjoy their delicious soba - of course, the finest food in the world, healthy, convenient, filled with variety and always extremely tasty. Utano talks with her friend Wakaba in Shikoku.
But the attacks become more frequent and more powerful, and even the brave, strong Utano cannot withstand forever. Injured and weak, she forces her body to the main shrine, ignoring Mito's cries for her to seek urgent medical care, since it is her time to talk with Wakaba, and she can hardly keep her waiting too long. The attacks get worse and they realise all is soon to be lost, that the Vertex are massing for an all-out ultimate attack that mean of all their hope.

And Utano smiles. In that case, I can hardly let this world be destroyed. And as she turns to face the endless hordes of Vertex, Mito stands in that place, not moving a single step, forever watching Utano's final battle.

Just read the new chapter. Good, but felt slightly rushed, like they were trying to jam in all the SOL tropes that they hadn't gotten to yet. Between that, the unusual oracle and Tamako's body problem, I suppose this is the last happy chapter. It was nice knowing you girls.

I'm starting to understand Taisha's plan after the anime. As Sonoko explained, they're gonna let every girl be a hero. The reason is probably to send an all out offensive campaign against Vertex. They're gonna try to defeat all the Vertexes, and then they're gonna use the Seeds that Sonoko mentioned to restore the Earth to its original state. The Seeds probably refers to the seeds that Wakaba sowed on Suwa, in the field left behind by Shiratori. She doesn't go all out in a competition again friends and doesn't tease them much either.

When I said boyish I mean a sort of energetic shounen MC vibe. Utano's kinda like that. Karin isn't.

Using some loanwords a few times is one thing, but Gin was constantly using Engrish. Karin's not like that at all.

Although now I think about it more, Utano was far more of a hero of Gin. Singlehandedly, Utano fought off the entire armies of the Vertex for 3 years, saved countless innocent lives from outside the barrier, raised delicious crops, gave the people of Suwa hope, and had her own personal miko fall in love with her. While Gin had 2 other heroes with her and still could only manage a couple Vertex attacks before dying. It's almost an insult to Utano to compare her to Gin.

Right, Gin was only 11 at the time and her weapon was just a standard starter equipment and not a legendary weapon like Utano's. The Nowayu didn't have Mankai or any kind of trump card either. Their app power level was also much lower than the Nowayu and Yuyuyu. In Nowayu time, the enemies are mostly Stardust and a couple of incomplete Vertexes while in Wasuyu time, they have to fight against fully evolved Vertexes. It's not really fare to compare the two of them.
Speaking of heroic level, it's funny how everyone speaks so highly of Karin who mankai-ed 5 times while ignored the 21 fairies Sonoko just because Karin's awesome fight was shown and Sonoko's Mankai festival was not.

Yuuna went to the past because she wished to know why the Taisha lied, what really happened at the end of the old world.
Thanks to the Taisha's censorship, even though Yuuna is from the future, she knows very little about the past so she still seems just as lost as the other heros except when it comes to killing vertexes. She also might be somewhat confused and thinks that what she remembers from the future is a dream and the life of Takashima Yuuna is the reality.
And she almost certainly doesn't know she is a god.
From her expression when she saw her own photo in Sonoko's book Yuuki Yuuna, once awakend, thought she dreamt her time as Takashima Yuuna, and now is finding out it was real.
