It's pretty obvious that there's more to Falconia than just being Griffith's dream. The parallels to the ancient city are just too strong, it basically is the ancient city reborn. And we all know what happened to that.
There's some larger plan of Griffith, and the God Hand as a whole, at work here. Merging the realms and unleashing magical beasts upon humanity and then creating a safe haven where every huamn will gather is just the first step. Only Miura knows waht'll happen next.

I'm very curious about this. Void's power seems to be that he can open holes in the physical world and reflect it back to the person. Without the Behelit sword, I honestly don't see a way to ever hit Void if he's not distracted. He could basically throw a force field astral and throw everything back at his enemies.
Void is essentially Spot from Spiderman.
But what's interesting is that with this new sword, Skull Knight can directly cut Void. He essentially has no more protection.

You're confusing Ubik for Conrad. Conrad was the one who talked and manipulated Griffith's morals and ideals to accept the sacrifice. Ubik only showed Griffith his subconscious.
Conrad is like Minister Foss (he even looks like him) in the sense that he talks people into changing their morals or plans to fit his own.
