I would have liked more development between them (or just earlier development for Chidori's character, her arc was stalled solely so she could have her big change in the climax when it would have made more sense for it to happen sooner), but they were cute and in the end that's what matter in this kind of anime.
I think we can all agree that this is Trigger's best looking television series to date. They've improved a lot and really nailed down a style that is still cartoony without looking downright cheap like KlK often did.

The writting is what cripples this show, some of the plot makes no sense and there where a lot of concepts that where introduced rather badly. Overall very predictable message. Visual department? 10/10, great character designs, animation, atmosphere and overall style.

And even if there were NONE at all, why is it so insanely unbelievable that a girl can be harbouring romantic feelings for a guy after spending a lot of time with him? How is that so utterly mindblowing and "out of nowhere"? Like are you telling me you actually want some hamfisted shit where he looks at her and she quickly looks away and blushes? Some scene where she thinks to herself "wow Tenga is actually pretty manly" or some other shit like that? I for one much prefer the more tactful approach they decided to take with it. It's sad that /a/ can't appreciate some decent subtle buildup without crying that it's SO UNEXPECTED SHIT WRITING.
