Hox have you ever considered doing a joint with EGScans for Shana Oh Yoshitsune or Jin? These are historical series as well, and I figured you might be interested but given EGS's ridiculous project list those two take awhile to come out. SOY is basically behind over 500 chapters or something since it has a sequel which also has like 300+ chapters, meanwhile Jin has incredible technical jargon and while I don't think you know about the medical stuff, would it not speed up the med translator's pacing with someone so amazing like you helping out?

A full hauberk weights anything from 5 kilos to 10 kilos, those guys are from early in the middle ages so you are looking most likely at 10 kilos. Now add the wight of all the padding, helmet, weapons and all other gear, you are getting closer to 20 kilos. Thorfin is pretty fast already in equal circumstances.

That said, Thorfinn definitely didn't think things through like that, his thought process has always been stupid as he's a stupid kid his whole life, so unlike Canute who has always been sensitive to those around him and playing ignorant, Thorfinn has always been a genuine idiot in this story, and suddenly becoming enlightened completely would shit all over the writing Yukimura has set up so far.
Thorfinn's greatness is that regardless of how stupid he is, he sometimes (keyword sometimes) manages to fumble onto the correct answer through sheer manliness, though in his youth we call that being edgy since there's even less thought behind it back then.
This is going to be the 3rd or 4th time Yukimura has handed Thorfinn an opportunity to become someone who matters and improve the lives of many people, but as usual it's definitely gonna be half baked like Farmland saga. He will corner Floki and end his political aspirations, but he will still aim for Vinland because MUH UTOPIA.
But that's what a man's romance is isn't it? He's even crazier than Zhuge Liang despite being nowhere near as smart with an even crazier goal.

More like lightning fast. The only person who could possibly match his speed is perhaps Thors. Askeladd got through purely by reading his moves, and Snake showed us how a younger Askeladd still wouldn't be able to do jack shit to a guy not trying to kill him, though to be fair I doubt Snake was as clever and experienced as Askeladd at the same age given Askeladd's upbringing.
But basically no one alive can match Thorfinn in speed, even if they were naked. Now add the all the equipment.
