Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress is a COMPLETELY ORIGINAL anime that just happens to bear a slight cosmetic resemblance to Shingeki no Kyoujin. It's an allegory for the average Japanese soldier's experiences in WW2.
SnK meanwhile is a blatant ripoff of Muv-Luv, with some Godzilla thrown in for good measure. Satelight and Toei should've sued the shit out of Kodansha.
they're both shit

Try being more subtle next time.

SnK is bad and has nothing original. Story has shitty writing filled with cliches. Characters are also bad. Fights are predictable because they are filled with cliches (last chapter for example).
And let's not forget about story plot holes in SnK (I know manga is still ongoing, but those plot holes aren't still answered)
Kabaneri was good and interesting but went to shit thanks to Biba and Mumei and plot holes

Clearly it was written satirically, you'd recognize that if you weren't so above it all, anon. kys

oh boy
I'm tired of all these obvious chink and gook posts.
Isayama has been saying Muv-Luv is a direct inspiration in various interviews for a while now.

>Kabaneri was good and interesting
Obvious bait is obvious.

How old are you ?
Kids under 18 aren't allowed on /a/
This is a bait thread but desu Kabeneri ain't that bad, at least imo. Maybe I'm biased because I'm enjoying it on the basis that it's not pissing me off as much as SnK did

>If you played Muv Luv Alternative and read the SnK mango, the inspiration becomes really, really obvious: beyond the premise of both works, they do share a number of elements and plot points (the crucial place of the nervous system/spinal fluid and memories in SnK being very reminiscent of Muv Luv the brain pods in Muv Luv).
Not that it's a bad thing in itself, since Isayama never hid his source of inspiration, and he did manage to put a personal spin on it that allowed his work to reach the level of popularity that it has.
Kabaneri on the other hand, is more like a mixture of everything the director and script writer liked about the shows they worked on in the past and everything they liked about other shows they didn't work on but liked regardless.

Woops, didn't mean to greentext
