So these high school students are already better than pro players in real life. How good would NBA players be if they make a cameo in the show?
>>
Shaq would destroy the world.
>>
>>143272812
The pro players there are superhuman.
>>
I can't even begin to imagine NBA players. Even the americans who just played street basketball in Kuroko were fucking monsters

From what I read regarding Prince of Tennis, the pros are all at such high level they can essentially cancel each other's magic, leading them to play really normal tennis.

Globetrotters vs. Japanese children

At what point does it stop being classified as a game instead of a public execution?

Probably this.

I can only imagine what Lebron would be like, just driving to the basket 24/7.
>>
>>143273363
Fucking hell, is that really how it works in that show?

Remember that Kagami's entire deal of why he can hang with the generation of miracles is because he learned to play on the streets of America.

I'm pretty sure that in this universe actual NBA players are the equivalent of gods.

In the anime Echizen left and beat Lleyton Hewitt. He then went back to Japan for the Nationals. All of which is before NPoT where we now have an actual pro.

It's not like he's average in America. By all accounts he was considered to be great there too.
>>
>>143272812
They aren't as talented as they seem. The show did a good job at making casuals think basic moves superpowers.
>opponent guards glasses guy
>Pssh

>Sinks rock

I originally thought vanishing drive was just a particular crossover, but then they revealed he actually just disappears by having a low presence.
>>
>>143274361
Yeah this is completely true. Even with the GoM most of their moves could be done by people in the NBA. Like Akashi's anklebreakers would be similar to Iverson.

The only outlier is Aomine I guess, but we've all seen trickshots or impossible looking shots go in, just not consistently.
>>
>>143273952
Growing up playing street ball is one thing, having talent is another entirely.
Kagami and Himuro went through the same training, but only the former ended up where he is now.
>>
>>143274421
The limitation that someone with more court presence than the ball has to pass behind him is actually really neat. I like how all of Kuroko's tricks get debunked throughout the series.

> Aomine playing streetball with strangers in the park
> He dominated the court, ending the match quickly.
> "Heh, not bad"
> Aomine spun around to see a guy in hoodies sitting on a bench talking to him.
> Stranger: "Unrefined, but pretty good.... for a rookie"
> Aomine got angry by the stranger's offhand comment
> Aomine: "Oh yea? and who the hell are you? wanna go?"
> The stranger shrugged and took a step in the court.
> all of the sudden every player beside Aomine screamed in pain, their ankles shattered to fragments.
> Aomine felt a painful throb in his ankle and dropped to one knee.
> Stranger: "oh? impressive... you can stand in my presence with your ankles intact."
> Aomine: "w-who the fuk are you!?"
> The stranger slowly took off his hood.

So, uhm, why would I want to watch this Basketball's Prince of Tennis when Slam Dunk exists?

Why is there no hockey anime? I want sick flows and dank cellies in anime form.

is PoT just kuroko no basket but tennis
I really enjoyed KnB and the shit made me feel like I was barely watching sports

No other sports anime has lived up to that level of incredible hype ever since

PoT is definitely Kuroko's predecessor as a fujoshit mountain with inhuman sports. The sheer amount of fujoshi material PoT has is unmatched. Haikyuu has that current position but is way better in the sports aspect than either.

As ridiculous as Kuroko can get, Kuroko himself, Perfect Copy, and the consistency of the GoM with their skills are the only unrealistic things. PoT was kind of crappy but became straight up superhuman by the Nationals. Then the sequel happened. This has become the standard for being good.

Wasn't the team they beat in extra game an NBA level team?

Seems like GOM were ultimately physically outclassed by top level american players but overcome the difference with the zone.
>>
>>143279999
He's wearing the same colored uniform as Aomine too.

>>143273159
And LeBron would still cuck him out of a title.

Yowamushi Pedal is fairly popular as well, though Haikyuu is definitely bigger

I don't think Perfect Copy can copy everything, otherwise Kise would've already copied the moves that streetball team used.

I'll leave it to your discretion.

Kuroko no Basuke is more enjoyable than both Haikyuu and Yowamushi Pedal.
