Can't be assed to go look. What is this they're trying to make exactly? A new manga?
>>
>>143172915
Publish all of Kodomo no Jikan's in 5 Omnibus books.
>>
>>143172886
Fuck off.
>>
>>143172886
Why should we care, it was already scanlated and it can only hope to generate more backlash on the matter.
>>

You didn't market it enough.

It's going awfully slow lately so I'm getting kinda pessimistic about even the first stretch goal being met, fuck my life.
>>
>implying any pedophile will get caught in FBI honeypot this obvious
>>
>>143172886
That's what you get when you try to ask for 150k.

If they lowered the bar like Jewcob's Legend of the Overfiend goal and asked for 47k, it would have likely gone through and they could publish the other volumes as stretch goals.

And this game got 1,25 million just for a shitty translation.

Let's hope that when the 48 hour reminder is sent out the deficit in funding will be covered.
>>
>>143172951

Sometimes generating backlash is the first step to ensuring its continued legality. It also supports the author somewhat and sets a precedent that might be followed by other companies.

And before everyone goes all
>domestic releases supporting artists
you need to remember that while the cut isnt great its still a cut of something that wouldnt be there otherwise. You can bitch all you want about how little they get but its still more than the people bitching about that would ever give them. So unless your shipping off a check to her personally your not supporting shit.
>>
I'd back it if they included a Zac Bertschy kills himself on camera stretch goal.

Realistically, is there any chance that by backing this project I might get nicked?
>>
They'll probably make it. These things tend to see a little spike towards the end.

>>143175749
For supporting a business with monetary transactions? Yeah definitely, our global corporate overlords really hate when you do that.
>>
>>143172886
is it flexible funding?
>>
>>143175749
Depends more of where you live.
In some places some of the actions in the manga can land you in jail, but this goes ffor extreme places like Iran. In the states they might get a warrant to look through your stuff to see if you have the real thing though and in some places if you possess actual loli porn it can land you in jail not for child pornography but obsenity which is stupid but it's a loophole to just send you to jail.
>>
>>143175749
Where do you live?
Have you ever had real CP on your computer? Have you ever used a device you own to download or view real CP?
Do you have explicit lolicon pornography on your computer?
>>
>>143172886
Was the bad stuff about the publisher real
>>
>>143176443
Not that anon but given I've been here for a fucking while albeit on /b/ there could be traces on my old pc.
>>
>>143176443
Hello, FBI.
>>
>>143176489
Some of them. They are working out to not make the same mistakes and even taking feedback from the people on the community posts while saying they are changing their bad habits so it's a gamble if you want to believe although they say they will not edit/censor the images.
>>
>>143176056
I've seen news articles about Canada throwing people in prison for explicit lolicon, no real CP involved.
>>
>>143176519
Then if you live in the sort of shithole that would use KnJ to get a warrant, you may or may not be fucked.
>>
>>143176597
>Some of them
That's enough to not support them
>>
>>143176631
They were previous works as far as I know and the current guys changed the old staff. Could be wrong but you are better off asking them instead.
>>
>>143173621

Dont remind that shit is now on Steam .... fuck.
>>
>>143176622
Pretry much. This is why they are offering private carriers for shipping since in some states like mine, loli can get you arrested but then again sending dildoes or porn videos can do the same as long as is shipped via USPS or any country owned mailing service.
UPS and DHL are your friends.
>>
>>143172886
Let's be honest, after MN9, I predict more people will just plain trust kickstarter a lot less.
>>
>>143176048
No, with Kickstarter it's all or nothing.
>>
>>143176762
I don't really mind Muv-Luv being on steam. It's shit, sure, but at least it tries. It's the slew of English-original ecchi games that are pissing me off because they're a clear and deliberate cash-in that's shitting all over the reputation of VNs.

I had to win a bet to get somebody to read Inganock, and they went in thinking it was going to be a punishment.
>>
>>143176609
The UK and Australia both send you to prison for lolicon.
>>
>>143176800

Its not just MN9 but also others, like Scam Citizen ... of course KS also helped with lesser known games like FTL and Shadowrun ... Subnautica too, Battletech also had a Kickstarter ...
>>
>willing giving your name and address to be put on a "I masturbate to drawings of 12yo girls" list.

It's not like your name isn't already on that list, unwillingly.
>>
>>143172951
There's nothing wrong with localizing stuff that's been scanned. It lets people who can't speak Japanese own it physically, and it does have the potential to reach a bigger market and more consumers. Not that I think Kodomo Jikan would do that, but "it's already scanlated" is a pretty stupid reason to be against something.
>>
>>143177153

To be fair, FTL alone proves that KS can work spectacularly well.

Why do you think Molyneux and his gang of scammers went with their own crowdfunding system now?

Look at Godus: They canned the lead designer. If that game wasn't considered dead it definitely is now.

Is this the only way to get the manga, or if it does meet it's goal could i go pick it up at amazon or something?

I'm not a brit. I don't keep track of your brit slang.

But yes, you'd be some degree of fucked if you imported """kiddy""" """porn""" and got caught, Britain is a shithole in that respect.

If you picked the digital release version it sounds right. The physical copy pledge goes up to almost $200 including shipping.
>>
>>143179693

Fuck you. FTL is incredibly good game with lots of replay value, moddability (captain's edition in particular transforms the game into something worth the full game price all by itself), and most importantly, challenge which your summernewfag casual self obviously doesn't like in a game.
>>
>>143185360
If you need mods to make a game worth the price, it's a shit game.

If the challenge and replay value come from being fucked by virtual dice, then it's a shit game. Just go to a casino if you want to pay money to be screwed by chance.

Also, nice buzzwords.

KS projects usually get the greatest funding in the first week or two and it significantly drops off after that. Maybe by some miracle it'll get funded in the last few days when everyone is reminded that the project exists but it's not looking good.

>>143177496
LWA if we're looking at anime. There have been a number of Kickstarters that turned out well. Aside from the ones where people are outright scammed, it depends on what you're expecting from backing a project and more what you shouldn't be expecting as the end result.
>>
>>143185546

I said fuck you, now take it and go play minecraft you casual scum.

Please, for other stuff like Comics and board games Kickstarter is fine if you do some basic checking on who you're giving money to. Vidya and tech are where you really don't know what you're getting.
