I can see the arguments against Kyro's flashback. Overall he gave the arc an added layer of depth it needed or it'd otherwise be Alabasta 2.0, but it did drag out the pacing, plus he stole Nico Robin's one fight this arc.
Fujitora's reasoning made sense, but again, he was so wishy-washy, "I'm a threat right now when it's convenient to distract Sabo, now I'm not, now I'm going to stop you, now you've shown me my courage." I get it, it makes sense, but it doesn't really tell us anything new -- hurr durr Luffy draws people to him, yeah, we get it, he's a shonen protagonist. We also already knew the navy had completely fucked internal organization and priorities. He essentially did everything Smoker did back in Alabasta, so I can see how the repetition, thematically clever as it is, can wear on some readers.

Jacks introduction was to show how luffys 500 mil bounty was still small time shit compared to jacks 1 billion. He was meant to show how luffy is still a little fish in the new world compared to the veterans who have been there for years. Jack was almost meant to show how new world pirates are more blood thirsty and ruthless than other pirates and that just being strong alone isn't enough. Kaido slaughtered morias entire crew and big mom sends people severed heads. Jack would stomp luffy.

How long will One Piece go on? Keep in mind that the final arc, which is by no means within the next 2-3 (including this one) arcs, is going to be gargantuan. It just has to be. Too much must happen when the biggest players in the One Piece universe clash over the title of Pirate King--nay, over control over how the world itself is run. That's at least a 100 chapter arc, right there. That's at least 2.5 years of just the final few canon days, of the war we all know is coming.
Then there's the fact we've got at the very minimum WCI and Wano arc to get through. They're not small arcs; they're going to be lesser than Dressrosa, probably, but together? They're going to last at least 3 years.
If Oda didn't take breaks (and he needs to), we might be done in 6-7 years. But there's probably 40-42 chapters released each year, and more than 300 chapters remaining. Personally, I think there's more than that over the horizon--but the bottom line is, we're not getting done in five years or less.
With all the advancement that has taken place recently ("recently" being a relative term in itself), it's clear Oda's gearing up for the final confrontations. That, I won't dispute. It's just the scale of the narrative that's still missing. It's huge. The way I see it, we're going to see more and more breaks occurring as the years progress and fewer chapters per year. It may take a decade to get through the next 300-350 chapters.

Bounty is not experience, bounty is not power level. You can get a huge bounty for just one huge bad deed and you can be a world player for decades and still have a low bounty. Ace was easily on Jack's level as one of Whitebeard's top commanders and his bounty was half Jack's not because he was less experienced than Jack but because he wasn't a fucking butcher. Also, we have literally seen Jack in action for maybe 5 - 10 chapters and so far he has jobbed. Jack is Blueno. He is the Blueno of the new world. He is going to be the first of Kaidou's crew to get wrecked by Luffy before his whole crew gets wrecked by the Straw Hats.
