Of course the characters don't develop a lot. You're basically watching an american action movie.
Shows's great if you just want to relax, turn your brain off and enjoy the awesome action. I'd recommend the English dub, it feels more natural to hear everybody say fuck every 3 minutes.
2nd best portrayal of a black guy in anime. Best portrayal of the Catholic church.

Probably the best anime dub I've ever watched, I actually even prefer it to the Japanese voices.
It was one of the shows that got me into anime way back when. I'm rewatching as I finish chapters in the manga, and I am wishing I went with the english dub, maybe Dutch will sound like he does in my head then. Not that the japanese voice actor is doing a terrible job or anything, it's just, ya know, he's not a big black dude.

It's something unique, that's what makes it popular. It had quite the sales when it was released, if the author wasn't such a lazy bastard they might even make a season 4.

My favorite action series. Madhouse did a good job with that fights.Also one of the few shows I prefer dubbed.
