Why was this series so shit? The first part featured a crabby bitch, and the second part moved at a snail's pace. In the third part, it felt like the author was just monkeying around, and the girl in the fourth part was a total snake in the grass. The fifth part was just a total catastrophe. I couldn't beelieve my eyes when the quality rose like a phoenix in Nisemonogatari. I haven't watched Nekomonogatari yet, so don't let the cat out of the bag about what happens.

Also I don't really get how people dislike Koyomi but like Kaiki. He straight up only functions as a "bad end Koyomi", he was able to understand Araragi inadvertantly damaging Nadeko because the exact same thing happened with him and Senjougahara years before + Kaiki himself has a similar issue of lying out of pure habit too. People pretend that the two are nothing alike when Araragi is shown to be just as cunning when he needs to be (such as against Seishiro). People act as if Kaiki saving Nadeko somehow invalidates all of Koyomi's other relationships for some reason too?

I wish the excorcists were more active at the forefront of the plot, the three of them all being "people Koyomi could turn into" was something that should've been played around with some more.
Hanamono sorta spoiled that by revealing how Koyomi ends up at the end of all this (basically a goofier/more laidback Oshino) in the middle of a part of the story where Koyomi was going through almost nothing but suffering
