I don't think it's bad for people who are still following Bleach. In fact it was probably the most refreshing scene in Bleach in forever, because it's the super-hyped new Bankai people have been waiting for for like, the past two years, and Kubo goes and breaks expectations by having not only the quickest defeat of a bankai in the whole series, but by having it happened to Ichigo of all people. That double spread is actually pretty impressive as it impacts the reader just as much as it does the protagonist.
I've been following Bleach since the start of the Hueco Mundo arc and i think this is probably the closest i've gotten to just dropping it.
I'm so tired of Yhwach and as if his retarded "i can see the future" power wasn't enough, now he can just change it, somehow.
At least on the plus side Ichigo's bankai looked like ass so i'm glad he broke it so he can get a new one.

I think it was cooler when Aizen did it.
I was mainly annoyed that it looks like he literally copy/pasted what was an unimpressive, empty spread to begin with, just to show a non-distinct sword breaking.

I think it involves the way images are "compressed" to be smaller. Notice how it looks strange when you enlarge it? I think the other image is hidden in a pattern that only forms completely by abusing the fact that the compression takes every X pixels for the final image.

Bleach sometimes see-saws and can be good along with being terrible, it's real flaw is just the god awful pacing. Unlike say naruto where most of it is just garbage regardless of pacing.
I liked the touch of weight given to Urahara by pointing out that in order to be so many steps ahead he has to constantly predict how not to die.

Joking aside, The Heart is actually a nice throwback to themse that had appeared in Bleach up to that points, and a nice coronation of Ulquiorra's character arc, going from when he couldn't understand what the heart is, having a LITERAL hole in his chest where the heart should be. One might say that it's lazy making a page like that in a visual manga, but it's neither unheard of (for example, Mirai Nikki has a spread of two pages of pure black in its last chapter, that it's both a breaker and a representation of despair), not a bad use, because giving a whole page to the word gave it more impact and made it more memorable.

Why is this fight happening? This means he wasn't so much 'seeing' the future but forcing it? Why have any of his underlings lost since gaining the eyes?
You just get tired of the power creep, one-upmanship and I'm behind you's with a huge volume of lying from all characters. Just fucking end it, get to the end game faster. Ichigo will power up enough to somehow beat the guy who PREDETERMINES how events will/did play out, and if it's not Ichigo then tit's reality warping heal/rejection power is about to finally come into play.

To be honest I'm digging the fact that all the Quincies have silly powers (only a few of the captains or the Arrancars had silly ones, most were pretty direct), and the we finally get to see many of the bankais, even if some have been pretty eh.
