I always thought Baal was pretty shitty since it doesn't have much utility like Valefor or Zepar but I guess its attack is maxed.

Isn't imitating it copying the nature of its attack except they were the one providing the power source? I got the impression it had something special in it for them to bother copying it. Like maxed piercing properties and shit. Or would copying regular lightning and using their magoi do the same.

Im not sure myself, but Baal's magoi wasnt used in the process. Maybe his magoi is needed to reach the full potential of the attack or it could be that Magi having access to immense amounts of Magoi are able to replicate it with the same quality as him. No way to know really
