Just a few hours until Jiro descend into madness and despair. Can Aikawa and Mizushima wrap everything up in just 2 episodes?

>Shinka 49 (1974)
Jiro returns home after seeing the movie, asking his father what he is. Magotake tells him of Hyouma's theory that Jiro is the contact point between two different worlds. The nuclear energy that took form as a Little Boy.
>October in Shinka 50 (1975), Okinawa
Master Ultima captures inhuman superbeings for the purpose of turning them into fuel to replace oil, because the ConRevo-world has never achieved nuclear fission. However, he is murdered by Emi, who tries to help the ancient nonhuman superbeings.
>November in Shinka 50 (1975)
In response, all human-based superhumans are merged with the armies and police forces of the world and start arresting and fighting the nonhuman superbeings.
Earth-chan runs out of power, Megasshin is disabled and Shiba Raito is destroyed by Hyouma's Red Jaguars.
Jiro kills Akira Shirota and sides with the nonhumans, for he is the nuclear beast, and thus belongs with them.
The nonhumans declare their own independent nation, to be free from mankind's desire to turn them into living perpetual fuel, so mankind sends all human-based superhumans to subjugate them. Kikko finds out the truth.
For eternal World Peace.

War commences.

He is born from the mind of humans, and thus more in line with them.
>>
I don't understand Jaguar. He helps Jiro but he also helps his enemies.
His role in all this is dubious and he is merely an agent of a larger organisation.

Even if he went rogue his strength and knowledge must be insignificant when compared to the organisation that made him and sent him for this mission.

So my guess is that Time Patrol is the ultimate evil behind everything.
>>
>>142685424
Fighting for love was her own fight. Ultimately she told Jiro he can fight for whatever is important to him instead of searching for some sort of a singular thing everyone can agree on, because such a thing does not exist.

Also it is ending with superhumans fighting beasts. It is basically how it is suppose to be in a proper hero story. It is restoring the balance of justice by making it a lot more black and white from the perspectives of either side. And for the sake of that they destroyed the ones that were neither human, nor beasts.

>>142687743
Hyouma is Hyouma, and Kikko got her relevance in the finale of S1 anon, and that's the funny part, Emi was almost irrelevant in the final of S1 while Kikko's shapping to be like that in the S2's finale.
>>
>>142687743
>Jaguar a character that seems to flip flop
It was hinted at considering he had a whole episode about him flippity floppying as his backstory.
>>
>>142687808
But Hyouma already did that shit in the first series, in fact he hasn't really mattered since himself showed up
>>
>>142687743
To be honest, Kikko didn't have much to go on after the S1 ending. Her arc ended there and sure you can make the case for "Evil Kikko final boss", but we sort of had that already.

Her only character outside demon queen is "In love with Jiro Hitoyoshi"
>>
>>142687743
Kikko has been completely sidelined this whole season. She must have some sort of major part in the finale.
I'm really hoping that Jaguar is flip-flopping because there are two of him criss-crossing within this timeline, making appearances at different times but as we're running out of episodes here, I fear this is just my fanboy mind trying to compensate for the shortcomings in the writing

>>
>>142687975
What if the guy she is supposed to marry is Ningen-Man?
>>
Well that felt sudden.

All signs point to the ending being rushed and unsatisfying, but there's still so much I love going on that it'll probably end up as one of my favorite anime in recent memory. What an odd situation.
>>
Fuuuuuuuuck. Really wish the finale was double length or something
>>
>>142688019
I'd agree with you if the past dozen episodes didn't happen, it felt like there was no direction this season. This was treading water shit for like 10 fucking episodes
>>

>>142688002

I had the same thought, thanks to his attitude being so different at various points in the episode. The new uniform seemed like a good way to separate him from the usual Jaguar, but now everybody seems to be wearing them, so guess not.

Probably is just another victim of trying to do everything right at the end.
>>
>>142688093
It could be worse. It could end with the world collapsing and we zoom out to a kid that looks like Jiro trapped under rubble in the fallout of the atomic bomb.

Yeah, hard to argue that. The first season really felt like we were going somewhere and everything was planned out, but after a couple amazing initial episodes season two's story has just been aimless. And this coming from someone that actually liked the standalone episodes.

I guess for me the core concept and ambition the series have are enough to overlook some of the expectations I had after season one. The show was always kind of a mess, in a charming way. But just enough of that ambition shined through for it to be something worth remembering.

>Emi already aware she won
>Kept herself close but at needed length away from Jiro
>Knew he'd return to her
>Kikko has been trying to connect to him
>Jaguar in the way as opposition
>Kikko's effort meant nothing

And now Jiro has become the final boss without realizing that Emi has manipulated him the whole time and that she's just as bad as everyone else.
>>
>>142688474
If it just kept to stand alone episodes it would be fine, but they made S1 where everything sort of funneled towards an ending that made sense with teasers about the future, this year it was just heavily disjointed one offs with only one tie in to S1 I can think of. Kikko and Michiko beating up Fuurouta in an eternal loop.

Emi packing Jiro's nuclear-bandaged arm and then leaning her head forward so that he can reaffirm his promise to love her forever.

Shiba Raito's futile attempt at trying to escape the Superhuman Army with Earth-chan.

Jiro fighting Shirota and then killing him.

Very likely, yes. Work together with the police and the army and get a free pardon and be hailed as a hero, or go to jail.

Concrete Revolutio is the story of the terrorist Jiro Hitoyoshi trying to fight for a future where humans and nonhumans can live together, but after accepting the truth that he is nothing more but a violent beast and a monster, commits himself to wage a war against all and everything.

I wouldn't do that. They add a lot to the setting, make the characters grow on you and are enjoyable enough at least to me. Except that Ski-episode.

That already looks great as it is. It could only be improved if you somehow fitted in the "All Systems Down" sequence too.

>>
>>142690856
The Mountain Horse episode was only done badly at the end, where Dee's death was handled rather tasteless.

Its theme about how some superhumans simply aren't cut out to be superheroes and they do something simpler like being comedians to make people happy is fine, and fits fine with the following Earth-chan episode, where an experienced superhuman learns that doing the right thing is not simply black and white.

The Devilo and Devila episode, although quite pretty (plus nice Devila-boobies), was too esoteric. Ironically, it's written by the same dude who made the Eternal Family episode, and that one was actually awesome.
The sky-jumping was simply not that great, and it did have issues.

Love > Justice > Peace > Family > Freedom
>>
Just saw the episode, and I must say I'm surprised when looking through the thread.
I thought the episode was very well handled overall, it was like the conclusion of everything given out naturally. With many jumps as always of course.

The only thing I think I don't fully understand is, why did Jirou told Emi to go to the surface?
Of course, war was kinda inevitable at that point but I don't why he was so eager to fight against previous allies.
There is also something not from the episode itself, but I would like to know what Judas thinks of all this. He seems to want to help Jirou for some reason, is it because of justice like Raito?

Also, Raito truly until the end the best boy.

Jiro turned to the dark side and wanted to end this whole mess with his fists.

Wait a second. If Jiro is the manifestation of the atomic bomb that hit Hiroshima, shouldn't there be one for Nagasaki too? I'm guessing the Muricans in Concrete saw that the first one was a failure and decided to not use anymore nukes.

>>142691206
It's better to get it over as soon as possible instead of trying to delay the confrontation. If Jiro could and did kill the righteous Rainbow Knight he so admired in his youth, then he can and will kill the righteous Shirota-Planetarian/Grosse Augen he helped and admired for being a protector of humanity.

I would say Devilo was more important than what people seem to think.
Devilo and Devila was not only a good episode on itself, but I also think it was important because it introduced the yokai world and how they care about themselves, which is very important this last episodes.

Yeah, that would have been very nice. Perhaps we'll see in the finale what kind of trump card Emi used to defeat Master Ultima, who seemed to be so certain he couldn't be defeated by the yokai-zerg.
>>
>>142691351
But he is still fighting for seigi, or at least that's what robots seem to think.
I would support the fact that he is still on justice side as well, letting yokais be melted and suffer for eternity just for us to have refrigerators is definitely not justice.

>>
>>142691597
Depends on how you see it.
Imagine you were an alien observing this, would you say the humans are justice for killing yokais that have done nothing against them or would you say yokais, who are defending themselves from being melted, are more in the position to call themselves justice?
>>
Was mankind actually in need of a new energy source?

Probably, yeah.

Although America ought to have seen that nuclear bombs do work, since the Trinity nuclear test was the first successful detonation of the atomic bomb.

Unless nuclear bombs tend to transform into whatever they're named after whenever detonated, making the Americans stop from using them.
>dammit, our first bomb became the Holy Trinity
>dammit, our second bomb just turned into a Little Boy instead of destroying Hiroshima

The naive inhabitants of the ConRevo-world believe that wars of ideology and wars for resources and wars for territory could be prevented by the Superhumans once Free Perpetual Unlimited Energy is granted to all of mankind, because then there would be no wars needed to be fought, and a new glorious golden age would start.

They are of course wrong, because we in the real world know that wars for territory and wars of ideology and wars for territory are still fought out, and we did master nuclear energy.

But hope for a better future is what ultimately causes those wars. Mankind might never learn.
