Honestly I see nothing. Gonna be disappointing, this season has been pretty good. Still watching 10 shows, way more than normal, I've usually dropped to 5/6 at this point.
Looking forward to S2 of Active Raid and Regalia.
Hoping that Berserk manages to be fantastic.
Curious as to how Naria Girls will turn out and if it'll even get subs.
And expecting to enjoy Amaama, Amanchu, Kono Bijutsubu, and Mob Psycho.

Yeah that was my only pick for anything that could compete directly with Love Live so if that's an accurate sample I don't know if a couple of J.C Staff Shonen Jump adaptations ,one of which is a sequel to a show primarily made to boost the manga, are going to be able to pull it off. Maybe Rewrite can compete with it because of Key fanboys but it's never done that amazing outside of a couple of the Kyoani adaptations that I recall

It has some A-1 and Sony Music backing though with T.M Revolution as it's producer so if they just forgo everything to push him instead I can see it doing more than okay. It'd be shit for the people and things they're actually supposed to promote but I can see them doing that if their other stuff like Qualidea Code and Re:Life bombs or under-performs which given recent trends is highly possible. If something like Uta no Prince can be utter dogshit but sell an average of like 30K with the right event tickets and pandering I don't see why it couldn't either. Of course Sunshine could easily do exactly the same but it doesn't have any established people like TMR to pull on, just Aquors which is still establishing itself as a separate identity from Muse. If they can somehow pull on former Muse members still with an event ticket nothing can beat Sunshine though.

I still think that the industries strategy to go hard as fuck after the fujos for the next couple years is going to backfire miserably outside of Touken Ranbu. It just reeks of desperate hail mary tactics of producers that just don't know what theyre doing now that the old stealth marketing tactics are starting to be more noticeable and not working as well at producing instant hits. Thing is Fujos have even more of a tendency to go overwhelmingly towards one flavor of the year thing and then just drop it hard about as quickly than male otaku do. If anything it just ends the industry up in the same place it is now where one or two shows do amazing and everything bombs miserably. The people that stick to their core fundamentals and audiences and building them up as opposed to chasing whales will come out of the next stretch in the best overall shape

Just a PSA on Rewrite: The anime is almost guaranteed to be shit. The nature of the VN makes it really tough to adapt properly without a minimum of 2 cours, even with Romeo writing in the script and even considering that they're supposedly doing a different route to anything in the VN.
That said the VN's really good. Not your standard KEY fare at all, and has probably one of my all-time favourite twists.

Love Live Sunshine definitely has the most triumphant 1970's game show tunes sounding trailer too it is all I know. It comes out the most full force of anything I've seen for Summer. If it doesn't have the soundtrack of the season I'll be surprised since it's practically a rule that Sunrise shows have the best soundtracks.
