Back when the anime and the original manga were running we had daily threads. In fact a chunk of the manga was scanlated here on /a/.
Even now there are Xxxholic threads here several times a month.

El Cazador de la Bruja and Michiko to Hatchin. Superficially they both have a lot in common (road trip in mexico/south america, tough female protagonists, great music), but end up being quite different to each other. El Cazador feels a bit more adventurous, with some really fun self-contained episodes and a great dynamic between the cast.
Michiko to Hatchin comes across as a much more mature show, with wonderful development of the main characters, and some really subtle and well developed storytelling across the series underneath the bombastic action and situations.
They're shows I never get to bring up and recommend to anyone, but I really enjoyed the shit out of them, and they are fairly unknown.

whilst I like the fact they continued it in the way they did since that was kinda the lead up of her teaching him. I hate the fact that he actually is doing it. She made things seem fun while treading on the gravely serious. He seem to just stumble about with quandaries

It's probably the only comic I've read in which the MC is essentially an asshole,but no one would call him edgy because all of his actions are justified since the setting is some fucked up world, people around him make terrible decisions, and he has to keep taking the fall for the rest and thus having to make really hard choices.
