As for doujins I always go in this priority order: Suruga-ya -> Mandarake -> Toranoana

The books cost about 500 yen each, 150-ish pages, very nice and cheap.
They charged me 360 yen for receiving and storing my manga for a whole week. I even paid an additional 200 yen because I wanted it packaged extra securely, you can ask them to send regular but still, very cheap.
International shipping raped me with 6.8k yen, for only 6 books worth 3k (tanks are small but then again, paper).
Chances are you'll afford a book or two with only that much money, in used condition.
