One of my problems with the film is that it spends way too much time explaining the mechanics of Homura's fake world, despite the fact that it really has nothing to do with the overall plot or themes of the film. They could easily have condense the explanation into a single sentence, but instead they had QB lecture at us to explain something of no significance. They even used diagrams to help explain it.
