Ok, so I marathoned all of Initial D after the Mayogia thread and I have to say overall I enjoyed the series.
I honestly didn't think I would like it but it turned out to be enjoy. Though Stage 4 and 5 I thought were pretty ok even though you guys said it was bad. I mean, I can understand why maybe since it dropped Takumi's group of friends and instead it became Ryosuke, Keisuke, and Takumi.
Also, I hated how they dropped so much subplot like with Natsuki. I was expecting her to come back later on, but noooo instead she isn't brought back up ever again and instead is replaced by some new girl by the end of the series.
Not to mention the progression. How the hell do you from racing a pro racer to a bunch of oldfags and the last guy is literally an autistic kid. What is that shit? It should have just ended with Keisuke and Takumi having their rematch since Keisuke kept fucking going on about it or maybe tie up Takumi's racing with his dad since several times he has some complex about his dad.
And the music just got back once it hit 4th Stage.
Other than that I thought it was a pretty good look.
