Yeah, part of what makes Evangelion a masterpiece is it's ability to really reach into places in your heart and pull out feelings you didn't know you had. It's not perfect by any means, but it's stood the test of time (TWENTY YEARS!) and is still considered a work of art. Unfortunately due to western sensibilitites it's never going to be accepted by most people because of the bizarre (but calculated) way it handles sex and adulthood. It really changed my life, but then again I was underage when I watched, so I'm impressionable.
