A possibility is that all the series' aside from the original manga/adaptations of the manga meant to be sequels to Yugi's story but not necessarily the others.
Think of it like this: Judai, Yusei, Yuma and Yuya all exist in worlds where Yugi's story happened but the reason they don't all line up is because to their respective worlds, ONLY Yugi's story definitely happened.
This might also explain why the different Mangas ignore the anime, it's all just different interpretations of how to follow up the original.

Ojamas have tools that can fill up your opponent's board with useless tokens that burn them when you finally get around to blowing them up. And yet, this isn't played.
It takes TWO people to play VWXYZ.
All of them were summoned in attack position except for Ojama King despite NOBODY being able to attack first turn. Literally all each of them had to do was set a monster and pass turn except the V-Z brothers, who could make their play as normal and probably not suffer an OTK (except maybe the VW brother because...)
The VW brother didn't set any backrow to prevent his COMPLETELY EMPTY BOARD from being punished by his opponent, WHO CAN ATTACK FIRST. Even shoving a Necro Gardna or EM turtle (both era-accurate cards) into his deck so he had a good Foolish target would've been better than nothing.
Egao Sentai Jobberanger only serves to show that even in a scripted duel those fucking decks completely shit the bed because of how dumb the people willing to run them are.Also to basically confirm Manjoume as not happening.

As an extension and comparison to this, the LDS Trio all did reasonable AND effective plays for their decks. There were some slightly different paths they could've taken by reading cards ahead of time but they still played fairly smart. Shun only won that duel because he ripped the answer to an empty board, 0 hand, and 10 LP, which is pretty honestly tradition for anyone. Having Yuri actually have to play through 5v1 would've been leagues more interesting if the 5 were a genuine fucking threat and played like they had 2 non-token brain cells to fuse.

They all have plot relevance. Yugo's dragon transports him between dimensions. They all react to each other even without being summoned. Starve Venom reacted to Yugo when Yuri was on the back of the truck.
