Why do the japanese have such a hardon for raising the stakes exponentially higher? It seems like every other series that isn't a SoL has the characters fighting for the fate of the world/galaxy/universe by the final story arc.
It's great the first five times, but they have to realize this kind of shit is just lazy writing, right?

I think the movies are the best form of TTGL. The much faster pacing works better for the crazy mecha willpower opera that it is. It kinda sucks that so much of the great characterization for everyone else gets cut, but that's just the nature of the beast.
