KyoAni works with Lantis and Pony Canyon because they don't have the facilities to do sound and music production or do disc distribution on their own. Sure they help fund the shows but KyoAni has been at the top of their committees for years now, which means they're the main funders and the ones that make the decisions.

I haven't been crazy about most of KyoAni's latest shows either, but the relatively short period of time that is "knk to now" you speak of doesn't really negate the things they've created and that I've enjoyed in the past. And even if I ultimately lose interest in it, I still feel safe looking forward to a new KyoAni show, since there are of course numerous constants that one can at least come to expect with the studio.
However, judging from the second half of your post, I somewhat doubt your familiarity with KyoAni at all, given how a pretty famous mark of their track record is improving on source material. Am I actually just responding to a shitposter?
