I actually like him, but if I had to pick a reason to hate him, I would chose his unreasonable personality. Or just how it sometimes feel like the author modified his personality on spot, to make story work or some shit.
He's an unbalanced, unconvincing character because since starting at the highschool we haven't seen him become friends with ANY character.
It's fine for a character to be a bully but in order to be a bully you have to have social status yourself, and you can't get social status if literally all you do is scream and get angry at one kid for being as good as or better than you.
You need to actually make some friends and get along with people. Which bakugou hasn't done. He hasn't made a clique or hung out with the popular kids.
So his role doesn't make any sense. In any highschool class he'd be the outcast because he hasn't made any friends and all he does is act hostile and complain and throw temper tantrums.
