Johnny is the only good one out of these. He's not likable and makes horrible decision, but he gets a great deal of development and many of his fights are fantastic; his friendship with Gyro is also among the best, if not the best, in the whole series. Subverting part 1 plotlines was good too.
Part V is fantastic but Giorno is one of the weakest elements of it and gets constantly overshadowed by Bruno and Mista.
Jonathan is a good chaaracter archetype - there's always room for boyscouts - but Araki's writing wasn't any good back then and as a result he's not memorable in any form. Still better than Jotaro in part III, but that's not saying much.

Johnny, Joseph and Jolyne are the only jojos who feel like real human beans, everyone else is too cutout/perfect and feel more like plot devices meant to keep the story going and solve problems. Their only flaws are silly irrelevant stuff like "gets really angry about his hair" or "is too good/naive for his own good" or "is not really social".(And I can't even think of something for Giorno)
Meanwhile Joseph cheats on his wife, Johnny being an asshole is what made him lose his legs in the first place, and he was willing to kill other people for his own gain, and Jolyne joined a bike gang as a teen and masturbated in front of a guard.
